FLED Institute Announces New Board
ABUJA – FLED International Leadership Institute, Abuja has announced the addition of 6 new board members at the Institute. This was made public in Abuja on Thursday, August 31, 2023, by the Institute’s President/CEO, Dr. Joseph C. Ibekwe, shortly after the board inauguration.
“Today we are delighted to announce the appointment of a new set of professionals and leaders to the Board of the prestigious FLED Institute. These are Prof. Mrs. Dimoji-Okoro Chibuzor, who is a Professor of Medicine, and Director of Health Services at Benue State University; Dr. Olunifesi Adekunle Suraj, Afi, who is an Associate Professor, at Dept of Mass Communication, University of Lagos; and Ms. Ifeolu Iriah, Afi, Director at Ingress, United Kingdom”.
Also announced are Amb. Mrs. Chinenye Amene, Associate Fellow at FLED Institute; Barr. Mrs. Maryann Ugo, who is the MD/CEO at Pure Logistics Ltd, Abuja; Prof. Maj. Aku Amboson, fss, (Rtd), Hfi, who will henceforth serve as the Director, Centre for Public Leadership at FLED Institute.
The President reminded the new board members of their responsibilities which include ensuring the development of high-quality academic and non-academic curricula at the Institute; liaising with relevant institutions anywhere in the world for exchange and collaborative development programs; ensuring institutional effectiveness, viability, and accountability; and to sustain the legal and ethical integrity of the Institute.
He urged them to exhibit passion, thoughtfulness, and a high sense of responsibility in order to implement the mission of the Institute the future of leadership development in Africa.
These new appointees will join the existing board members including Dr. Chudy Ihenacho; Mrs. Maryann Ibekwe, FNA; and Pst. Oloruntoba Ifabiyi, to oversee the Institute for the next two years.
FLED International Leadership Institute is a professional leadership think tank established in 1999, registered under CAMA CAP 59, 1990, and approved by the Federal Ministry of Education to offer professional certification in transformational leadership for leaders in the public and private sectors in Nigeria.
