Barr. Mrs. Chioma Nweze, Senior Special Assistant to the President on Community Engagement (South East) has expressed gratitude to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR on his demonstrated commitment to building a united and prosperous Nigeria, where every region and community has a stake.
She noted that Mr President’s the recent appointment of Board Chairpersons and CEOs for 42 federal organizations is another testament to his vision for a country where merit and excellence are the guiding principles. This move, she said, has sent a strong message to affirm Tinubu’s administration to spreading appointments across all geopolitical zones, fostering a culture of inclusivity and diversity. Continuing she said:
“The appointments were poignant in balancing regional and ethnic considerations, while ensuring that only the best and brightest are chosen to lead these critical organizations. We are particularly thrilled to see the appointment of Igbo sons and daughters to key positions, including Hon. Emma Eneukwu as Chairman of the Federal Medical Centre, Owerri (Imo State), Nze Chidi Duru (OON) as Chairman of the Federal Medical Centre, Lokoja (Anambra State), Mr. Uguru Mathew Ofoke as Chairman of the Federal Medical Centre, Umuahia (Abia State), Dr. Ijeoma Arodiogbu as Chairman of the David Umahi Federal University Teaching Hospital, Uburu, Ebonyi State, and Augustine Chukwu Umahi as Chairman of the Aminu Kano Teaching Hospital (Ebonyi State).
These appointments are a clear indication that the President values the contributions of Ndigbo to the development of our great nation.
“The Igbo sons and daughters at home and in diaspora commend President Tinubu for his leadership and commitment to inclusivity. His administration’s efforts to promote national unity and stability are yielding positive results, and we are confident that these appointments will usher in a new era of growth, development, and prosperity for our country. As we celebrate these appointments, we are reminded that our nation’s diversity is its greatest strength, and that together, we can achieve greatness.
Again, thank you Mr. President for his vision, leadership, and commitment to building a better Nigeria for all”
