President Tinubu revealed the news on Thursday during a prolonged meeting of the Federal Executive Council (FEC) at the State House in Abuja. This special gathering, which included both current cabinet members and those from Buhari’s previous administration, was held to pay tribute to the late statesman, who died on Sunday, July 13th.
Buhari passed away in London around 4:30 p.m. at the age of 82, having served as Nigeria’s former military leader and subsequently as an elected president. He is often recalled for his strict leadership approach, commitment to integrity, and firm opposition to corruption.
