Ifeanyi Obike, CEO of Obike Group, born on December 13, 1980 is a Nigerian businessman, philanthropist, and politician from Anambra State.
He has just declared his interest to invest in the airline industry. He dreams big, hoping his airline will rival the existing global Carriers like British Airways, Qatar Airways, among others.
Obike feels it’s time to step into the ring and give air travellers something to be proud of after the corona virus pandemic disrupted international travels.
Ifeanyi Obike wants to start with Boeing 747s and 787s series from the stable Boeing, one of the largest global aircraft manufacturers and a major player in the aerospace and defense industry. Boeing has a long history dating back to 1916 and it is known for its innovative aircraft designs and technologies. He has chosen boaing to launch operations.
Obike Air is still in the early start-up, but he already declared his intention to the general public, yet to announce what destinations it hopes to fly globally.
While there is no specific timeline regarding the resumption date of Obike Air, the announcement of entrance of the airline into the market has been making headlines.
With a proposed headquarters in Anambra state, Nigeria, they have unveiled their logo and cabin crew uniform. This is to arouse the interest of potential investors and partners around the world who will join the mission.
