25 Years of Working to Formalize Leadership Education in Nigeria
Great things start from small beginnings. Every society or organization grows strong and prospers through the direct guidance of its leaders. But not just any kind of leaders, those that are committed to development of their people.
Organizations that are stronger are often led by those who have received some form of leadership education. Unfortunately, leadership education has not been as available as Management education.
It was to fill this gap that Fled International Leadership Institute was established on August 15, 1999. The mission is to promote leadership education and give it status, the same way Management and Administration have been given educational status.
It was borne out of the realization that leadership education was ignored, yet individuals that should assume public leadership needed to receive some leadership education.
In the past 25 years, Fled Institute has created and offering multidisciplinary leadership development curricular anchored on intellectual scholarship and pragmatic solutions to produce transformational leaders. We believe that the sustainability of any society or organization depends on the quality of their leaders. And believe those leaders need to receive some form of leadership education.
As the Institute marks 25th Anniversary, we celebrate our journey and appreciate those that have walked the way with us.
We look into the future with confident assurance that leadership education shall become a sought-after in Nigeria and Africa.
