Brazil-Nigeria Direct Flights Commences with New BASA Agreement

Nigeria-Brazil Direct Flights Commences

As part of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s State visit to Brazil and with signing of new BASA Agreement, a test flight from Brazilia to Logos just arrived.

Key cabinet members and government officials who were part of the President’s entourage to Brazil, boarded this flight.

These include Ministers of Information Mohammed Idris; Aviation,  Festus Keyamo; Trade and Investment, Jumoke Oduwole; Arts Culture, Tourism and Creative Economy, Hannatu Musawa; Defence, Abubakar Badaru; Science, Technology and Innovation, Geoffrey Nnaji; and Special Adviser to President Tinubu on Media and Public Communication Sunday Dare.

Also onboard is the Chairman of Air Peace, Chief Allen Onyema.

The test flight from Brasilia, Brazil to Lagos, Nigeria, this Wednesday, August 27 2025 marks the commencement of BASA deal between Nigeria and Brazil.

This is expected to increase trade and economic activities between the two countries.
