President Tinubu completes State Visit to Brazil, on his Way to back to Abuja.

‎President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has departed Brazil is en route to Abuja at the completion of his state visit.

In a statement by the Presidential Spokesman, Mr. Bayo Onanuga, the presidential jet took off from Brasília International Airport Air Force Base at 12:57 pm (local time) this Wednesday, August 27, 2025.

‎Present at the airport to bid him farewell are Amb. Carlos Sérgio Sobral Duarte, Secretary for Africa and the Middle East and Amb Carlos José Areias Moreno Garcete, Ambassador of Brazil to Nigeria.

‎Also, the Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, Bianca Odumegwu-Ojukwu and other government officials were at the airport the witness the departure.

‎A brief departure ceremony included a guard of honour, led by Col. Cel Nicolas.

It will be recalled that the President Tinubu arrived in Brasília early on Monday, August 25, for the strategic diplomatic engagement.

‎He was given a red carpet treatment on arrival with full military honours at the Palácio do Planalto.

President Tinubu was later received by President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva and senior Brazilian officials.

‎The highpoints the President’s visit to Brazil including the signing of five Memoranda of Understanding by both leaders, covering aviation, foreign affairs, science and technology, and agriculture, which are key sectors to unlock the nation’s potentials.
