Gender equality in the 21st century signifies a worldwide effort to guarantee that women and men, as well as girls and boys, enjoy equal rights, resources, opportunities, and protections. However, there are still major challenges such as gender-based violence, pay disparities, lack of equal representation in leadership, and the unequal sharing of unpaid care responsibilities.
Progress is visible in various areas, including increased enrollment of girls in education, a decline in child marriage rates, and a rise in women’s political involvement, yet addressing these ongoing gaps necessitates continuous policy reforms, educational prograTagsms, economic empowerment initiatives, and shifts in society to challenge stereotypes and dismantle patriarchal norms.
