In Egypt Zulum wants Al-Azhar to train Borno’s scholars, preachers

As part of activities of his ongoing activities in Egypt, Governor Babagana Umara Zulum was at the World Organization of Al-Azhar Graduates, in Cairo to seek collaborations.

Zulum was there on Wednesday, during which he requested partnership for the training of academics in Borno’s tertiary institutions and preachers.

The governor also called for the re-opening of Al-Azhar Institute in Maiduguri, the opening of Arabic Center and establishment of a branch of the World Organization for Al-Azhar Graduates in Borno state.

The Governor also visited Ain Shams University, also in Cairo, where he met with President of the University to discuss collaboration between the University and Borno State in the area Medical Studies ahead of planned establishment of a teaching hospital for Borno State University.

The governor also discussed possibility of sending medical students to Egypt, for courses that will expose them to different aspects of learning and specialization.
