 FLED Institute Announces Second Annual International Women’s Leadership Conference

 

The FLED International Leadership Institute, under the auspices of FLED Group Africa, is pleased to announce the Second Annual International Women’s Leadership Conference (IWLC 2026) October 8 & 9.

The Conference, themed “Gendered Public Leadership for Africa’s Development,” will convene scholars, policymakers, development practitioners, civil society leaders, and emerging researchers to examine how gender-aware public leadership can strengthen governance systems, institutional design, democratic accountability, and sustainable development across Africa.

The Conference aims to advance rigorous scholarship, promote evidence-based policy dialogue, and amplify African women’s voices in leadership and governance.

Call for Abstracts

Abstract submissions are hereby invited from academics, graduate students, public officials, civil society actors, faith-based leaders, and governance professionals.

Submissions should explore theoretical, empirical, or policy-oriented perspectives aligned with the conference theme.

Abstract submission is free of charge. Selected authors will be invited to present their papers at the Conference and may be considered for publication in the Conference Proceedings or an edited volume.

Registration Now Open

Interested individuals are also invited to register as participants to engage in high-level discussions, keynote sessions, and policy dialogues shaping Africa’s leadership future.
