Preaches Responsibility on Easter
The President of FLED Group Africa, Rev. Joseph Ibekwe, on behalf of the leadership and entire community of FLED, extends warm Easter greetings to our Christian brothers and sisters across Nigeria and the African continent as we commemorate this sacred season.
Easter is a profound reminder of the triumph of hope over despair, light over darkness, and life over death. It embodies the timeless values of sacrifice, redemption, love, and renewal—principles that are essential not only to the Christian faith but to the moral and social fabric of our societies.
At this important moment in our collective journey as a people, we call on all Christians to reflect deeply on the meaning of Easter and to carry its message into every sphere of national and continental life. The resurrection story calls us to take responsibility to promote social and to embrace a higher calling of service, unity, and transformative leadership.
Nigeria and Africa stand at a critical crossroads. The future we seek – defined by peace, prosperity, justice, and dignity – will require citizens who are guided by integrity, compassion, and a shared vision of the common good.
We therefore urge all faithful to:
* Promote unity across religious, ethnic, and cultural lines
* Uphold values of honesty, justice, and accountability in public and private life
* Demonstrate compassion and solidarity with the vulnerable and underserved
* Contribute actively to nation-building and community development
Let this Easter season renew our collective commitment to building a society where hope is restored, institutions are strengthened, and every citizen can thrive.
May the joy of Easter fill our hearts, inspire our actions, and guide our nations toward a future of peace and shared progress.
Happy Easter.
