Seafood encompasses all types of marine life regarded as food by humans, notably including fish and shellfish such as oysters, mussels, and shrimp. It serves as a rich source of high-quality protein, omega-3 fatty acids, and essential vitamins and minerals.

    Includes both bony fish (like salmon and cod) and cartilage fish (like sharks and skates).

  • Shellfish
    A broad category that includes:
    • Crustaceans: Shrimp, crabs, lobsters, prawns, and crayfish.
    • Mollusks: Clams, oysters, mussels, scallops, squid, and octopus.
  • Other marine life
    In some regions, seafood also includes sea creatures like sea urchins and sea cucumbers, and even some sea plants like seaweed.
